Wedding Photography in Chepstow, Monmouthshire & Beyond
Hi, I’m Laura. If you’re getting married in Chepstow, Newport, Cardiff, Bristol or anywhere in Monmouthshire, I’d love to be part of your day.
I take a relaxed, documentary approach to wedding photography. That means I blend into the background and capture your day as it actually happens, not as a series of poses. You’ll still get portraits and group shots – I know families want them – but I’m always mindful of your time, keeping things easy, fun and completely stress-free.
The best photos are always the ones where you’ve forgotten I’m there.

What makes a Petal and Olive wedding different
Every wedding photographer says “natural” and “relaxed.” Here’s what that actually looks like with me:
I’ll be in the beer garden with your uncle if that’s where the best moment is happening.
I promise a safe space — if you’re not a “posing” couple, that’s completely fine, I won’t turn you into one.
Pricing is right there on this page. No email-gated guide, no guessing games, just the numbers.
I photograph across Chepstow, Monmouthshire, Newport, Cardiff and Bristol, but I’ll travel anywhere for a joyful wedding — just ask.
FAQs
Do you travel outside Chepstow and Monmouthshire?
Yes. I’m based in Magor and regularly photograph weddings across Newport, Cardiff and Bristol, but I’ll travel further for the right wedding — just ask and we’ll sort the logistics together.
How many images will we get?
It depends on your package, but you’re looking at a minimum of 400 images with the Petal package, up to 800+ with the Petal and Olive package. All fully edited, no watermarks, yours to keep.
What if I don't want lots of posed photos?
Perfect, that’s exactly how I like to work. Documentary storytelling is my approach — I’ll capture the day as it unfolds, with just enough guidance to get the portraits and group shots you’ll actually want.
Will our photos end up on social media?
Only if you’re happy for them to. I love sharing real weddings on Instagram and TikTok, but I’ll always check with you first.
Do we need to pay a deposit?
I ask for a 25% deposit to secure your booking, with the balance due no later than four weeks before your day. If you’d rather spread the cost, just ask, I’m happy to split it into instalments. Deposits are non-refundable.
How do we book?
Fill in the enquiry form on the pricing page. I read every message myself and reply within 48 hours with availability and next steps — no obligation, no pressure.
Do we need a second photographer?
Honestly, no, you don’t need one. I’m confident I can photograph your whole day beautifully on my own. The one honest exception is if you want full coverage from two places at once, say, the groom’s reaction at the front of the aisle and your arrival at the venue happening at the same time. I can’t be in two places at once, so if that matters to you, a second photographer is available as an add-on, working in a similar style to mine.
How long will it take to get our photos after the wedding?
You’ll have some previews within 48 hours so you’re not waiting to see a few favourites, then your full gallery within 8 weeks. I always aim to get them to you sooner if I can, I know how much you’ll want to see them.
